Ready to Volunteer? Getting started is easy! Select the option below that best matches the volunteer opportunity you are applying for:

Volunteer for an SSV program. Interested in Mentoring, Read Aloud, Academic Support or another volunteer opportunity coordinated by SSV?

• Complete this Volunteer Application

Volunteer for a school-based activity. Attending a field trip, Field Day, or Fun Day; serving as a volunteer coach; or volunteering for the PTO or another school-based opportunity?

• Complete the School-Based Volunteer Application

Volunteer through another program or organization. Volunteering through a college, employer, or another group or organization in a Springfield public school (Community Music School, Follow My Steps, Link to Libraries, Para-Educator Training, Young Scholars)?

• Complete the External Program Volunteer Application

Complete a Background Check

All who wish to volunteer in the Springfield Public Schools must complete a background check (CORI/SORI) through SSV. Follow the steps below to complete your background check.

• Download and complete the CORI/SORI Authorization Form
• Email your completed form to volunteer@springfieldpublicschools.com
  or mail your completed form to:

If you did not upload your valid, government-issued photo ID with your volunteer application, please submit it along with you CORI/SORI Authorization form.
